Our creed illustrates the core values of our Fraternity, and the quote, “I believe in its earnest drive for good scholarship,” describes our desire to learn and achieve success academically. As a chapter we strive for academic excellence.

Time is a limited commodity and scholarship is our number one priority in college. As Alpha Phis, we utilize our programming department to ensure that all academic needs are met and promoted through scholarship programs, goal setting sessions, and faculty involvement in our everyday operations. We strive to promote a positive morale regarding scholarship throughout our chapter. Our chapter strives to consistently stay above the Women’s All Sorority GPA.

Our recently modified scholarship program targets academic excellence through targeting each individual member’s needs. Instead of having general requirements, we have revamped our scholarship program to ensure academic success for every member. This program recognizes individual achievement and rewards both outcome and effort. Our Director of Scholarship meets members periodically throughout the semester to set attainable academic goals for the school year. A form is filled out at the start of the semester, mid-semester, and at the conclusion to aid in setting goals, measuring progress, and monitoring general academic needs. At the conclusion of the semester the Director of Scholarship and the member evaluate the final progress.

Another key factor to academic excellence is encompassing scholarship in our everyday programming and operations. Alpha Phi encourages each sister to balance the high demands of an academic schedule with leadership responsibilities. A combination of leadership and scholarship is the combination to success and we instill this in our everyday operations.

The Alpha Phi Foundation annually awards significant scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate studies. Applications for these scholarships are available online and are due in the spring each year.
