Housing FAQs

In order to provide a safe and healthy living environment, the Chapter House has its own policies and procedures. Some frequently asked questions are answered below:

• There are no alcoholic beverages or any illegal substances allowed in the Chapter House or anywhere on Alpha Phi property.
• Male visitors are allowed in the public areas of the Chapter House between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 a.m. Male visitors are allowed in the private areas of the house between the hours of 12 noon and 12 midnight.
• The Chapter House is a smoke-free building. Candles and incense are prohibited.
• We do have a Resident House Director, who is an employee of the House Corporation Board, and has her own separate apartment within the Chapter House. She oversees the facility operations on a daily basis.
• We do have a Chef who prepares lunches Monday through Friday, and dinners Monday through Thursday. Breakfasts and weekend meals are self-serve. The kitchen is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We have a Kitchen Assistant who helps with setup and cleanup.
• The above-listed positions are employees of the Housing Corporation of Delta Theta of Alpha Phi. The board members of this corporation consist of four alumnae volunteers and three collegiate officers.
• Members are to participate in lunch and weekend dish duties.
• There are no pets allowed to live in or visit the Chapter House.
• Violations of the House Policies and Procedures are referred to the Chapter’s Judiciary Board, and then possibly to the House Corporation Board if it is determined to be a violation of the contract.
